Some may noticed our website has been a little quiet for a while. But don't think we haven't been busy. Members of the NCAN national committee have been putting together something special.

We are very happy to announce the publication of "A True and Lively Faith: Contested Issues in Australian Anglicanism - Volume #1".

This book was launched at the meeting of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia for 2026 in Melbourne.

This collection of essays presents a life-giving alternative to narrow, hardline interpretations of Anglicanism. It offers a faithful Scriptural approach to inclusive, orthodox Christianity in today’s context, reflecting Anglicanism’s broad and generous tradition.

"A True and Lively Faith" offers essays from within the Australian Anglican Church, presenting arguments for comprehensive Anglicanism in the face of the current challenge from less inclusive modes of the Church in this country. The contributors – leading clergy and laity from across Australia – demonstrate comprehensive Anglicanism’s faithfulness to Scripture and the Creeds, provide thoughtful reflections on the Church’s generous mission, and confront some of the harder issues threatening to divide the Church.

We hope that this book will be a great resource for students, teachers, small groups and individuals. We encourage parishes throughout Australia to consider gathering a group of people together to read and discuss.

We are very grateful to all who have made this publication possible.

The book contains 10 essays from a variety of voices from around Australia, with foreword and afterword written by two of Australia's archbishops.
